David Crosby is a Senior Debt Analyst for American Capital Strategies (ACAS) in Bethesda, Maryland. At American Capital, David analyzes and prepares reports related to ACAS debt facilities and securitizations, analysis and prepares derivative transactions for multiple facilities and securitizations and is a team manager in the analysis and performance of ACAS bonds. Prior to ACAS, David worked at Morgan Stanley Tyson's Corner as a financial advisor. He worked with high net worth clients on estate and succession planning and provided analysis to large corporations to implement cost-saving financial plans. David is an eight year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and reached the rank of Sergeant before being honorably discharged. He served as an instructor at Parris Island, SC and Camp Lejeune, NC and as an operations and team leader in Okinawa, Japan. David earned his bachelor's degree in finance from George Mason University.

Craig Downie has 10 years experience as an IT consultant for various government and law enforcement agencies. Currently, he is an Enterprise Architect for Engineering, Management, & Integration (EM&I), a company dedicated to helping clients in their transformation efforts. On his current project, he is serving as a product lead for the Business Transformation Agency (BTA), a new agency within the Department of Defense formed in October of 2005 whose mission is to transform the way the Department does business in order to be both accountable to the American people and better support the Warfighter. The BTA is responsible for creating and maintaining the Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) and the Enterprise Transition Plan for the DoD and Mr. Downie’s duties include ensuring that his product meets program quality standards, can serve as a starting point for Components to integrate into the BEA, and supports the Enterprise Transition Plan. Prior to that, over the past 7 years Mr. Downie has worked as a web developer and database developer, first in a large consulting company to a DoD client, then briefly with a “dot bomb” consulting company before coming back to government consulting with a large telecom company until joining his current project. Mr. Downie initially came to Washington, DC, as an intern on the Hill. He has a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from the University of Florida and has taken coursework towards a Computer Science degree from Florida Atlantic University.

William Goode is an Associate with Hankins and Anderson, Inc. in Richmond, VA. He is a certified professional engineer licensed in Virginia and Maryland. He is responsible for quality control for the civil department in addition to his duties as a senior lead engineer. He has thirteen years experience in municipal, governmental, institutional, commercial, industrial, military and residential markets. His administrative duties for the civil department include proposal writing, scheduling and determining fees for services. He is a United States Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED 2.0 Accredited Professional. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Virginia Tech.

Will Gorman is the Manager of Business Service Operations at Verizon Business, in the Managed Security Services group. With 12 years industry experience, he is a CISSP and Certified Ethical Hacker. Previous positions include Bid Support Manager for Verizon Business, Sales Engineer for RSA Security, Cylink, and PureEdge. He also has been an independent security consultant to Capital One Financial and other clients. Will has specialization in federal government and regulated industries, such as banks and pharmaceuticals, as well as several large multi-national corporations.

Melissa Grondin has been employed at the Executive Office of the President (EOP) for one year as the Assistant to the Special Assistant to the President and Director, Office of Administration. As Assistant to the Director, Melissa’s duties include administering internal communications for the EOP staff, overseeing the overhaul of internal policies, procedures and directives and instituting metrics and measures in already established processes based on customer service and feedback. Before joining the EOP, Melissa worked at the Alliance for Maine’s Future, a business trade association located in her home state of Maine. During her time at the Alliance for Maine’s Future, Melissa served as Program Director and was responsible for developing voter programs and implementing them in member businesses. Additionally, Melissa researched and wrote publications on Maine’s economy and business climate. Melissa graduated magna cum laude from Susquehanna University in 2005 with a bachelor’s in public relations and a minor in business administration.

He has previously worked for National Audubon Society and Reinecke Fuchs, Inc. Eric is a Manager in Grant Thornton’s Global Public Sector (GPS) practice which provides public-sector consulting services to federal, state, and international organizations. The GPS practice concentrates on providing public sector clients with practical, value-oriented services to achieve tangible business results, manage change, and meet competitive challenges. Eric has significant experience in a number of different areas, including government outsourcing, organizational design, government acquisition, performance management, and business process reengineering. Most recently, Mr. Heffernan led a team of experienced consultants in the development, planning and execution of the largest ever civilian agency outsourcing effort that will save the FAA over $2.2 billion in cost savings over a ten year period. Currently, Eric is assisting the FAA explore other resource management efficiencies through several business case analyses. He has also supported other federal agencies in organizational design, benchmarking, facilitation, and cost and performance management.

Satish Pannala is Managing Consultant with IBM Global Business Services, Financial Service Sector. In this role, he manages the ERP implementation for IBM’s Financial Services Customers. His most recent project has been leading a Business Transformation and Outsourcing (BTO) team for a large retail customer; he was instrumental in coordinating, planning, and implementing ERP and web software applications and transitioning the operations to an offshore delivery center. Prior to joining IBM, Satish has worked as Principal consultant for Oracle Corporation, Oracle consulting services managing the upgrades and implementation of Oracle and PeopleSoft applications. Umesh Rao is the Technical Director of Software Development with AOL, LLC's Integrated Clients and Safety Organization. In this role, he has the overall responsibility for the development of AOL's Classic Client Software managing teams in India and US. Prior to this he served as the Technical Program Director for AOL's Offshore Development Center in India. He was responsible for planning and coordinating the work for the offshore organization and representing their interests to the project teams in the US. Prior to this Umesh was a Technical Manager in AOL's Systems Operations group, where he managed teams of Systems Administrators and Project Managers providing operational support to the various Time Warner divisions. Umesh started his career as a consultant at IBM. Umesh holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. He is married and has 2 daughters and resides in Leesburg.

Jenilee Rasch is a Controller for O-I North American glass containers division at the Toano, Va. facility. With revenues of $7.1 Billion, O-I is the world’s largest glass container manufacturing company, and is one of the world’s leading manufacturer’s in packaging. O-I is also a leader in plastic packaging products, serving the global healthcare market. They operate in 23 countries with 150 manufacturing facilities and employ over 30,000 people. Jenilee manages the accounting, purchasing, and human resource departments at the Toano, VA facility which manufactures the glass beer containers for the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Williamsburg, VA. Jenilee’s previous position’s held at O-I are Financial Auditor and Controller for the Rocky Mount, NC plastic container healthcare facility for O-I. The first quarter of 2006 Jenilee resided in Lausanne, Switzerland developing and implementing a global chart of accounts and managerial reporting programs into SAP for O-I. Jenilee received her B.B.A in Corporate Finance and Business Economics from the University of Toledo, in Toledo, Ohio.

Daniel Schaupner (VT EMBA '08) is a management consultant for the Department of Homeland Security and is overseeing high-visibility IT projects for the Transportation Security Administration Office of the Chief Information Officer. Mr. Schaupner has extensive experience in federal consulting, engineering, and management efforts, to include the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Defense Information Systems Agency. He has earned his Project Management Professional and Certified Information Security Systems Professional certifications. Mr. Schaupner's undergraduate degree is in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 1996. He also completed a graduate certificate program in Computer Security and Information Assurance at George Washington University in 2002. Dan continues to maintain close personal and professional friendships from the Executive MBA program with his partners and classmates.
