EKUA ANKUMA
Ekua Takyiwa Ankuma has over 16 years of Government Contracts & Subcontracts Management and is a key member of General Dynamics Information Technology’s $200 million Army Information Technology Sector. As the Director of Contracts, she serves as the senior contracts and business advisor to the business vice president and general manager. Ekua mentors a team of administrators and managers who support the sector’s business growth objectives, administer contracts and subcontracts, provide life cycle support from proposals through contract closeout, ensure compliance with the federal government regulations and leads operational initiatives leading to successful compliance audits and the streamlining of business operations. Ekua completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Brighton, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics & Computing, has a Master Certificate in Contracts from George Washington University School of Business and has also completed numerous professional certification courses in contracts management. Ekua lives in Fall Church, VA with her husband and children. |

GIANCARLO BRIZZI
Giancarlo Brizzi is a Management and Program Analyst at the U.S. Department of the Treasury where he works in the Departmental Offices (Headquarters), Office of Financial Management. At Treasury, he helps formulates the Departmental Offices budget by building budget forecasting models and preparing the budget submission to the Office of Management and Budget. Prior to joining the federal government, he spent over 10 years in management consulting with Arthur Andersen LLP and BearingPoint, Inc. working on numerous client engagements. He has assisted federal agencies with complying with federal regulations and guidelines in the areas of financial management and internal controls in order to help clients maintain unqualified (clean) audit opinions. He has also supported clients with financial system implementations, business process reengineering efforts, and developing and implementing corrective action plans. Giancarlo also served the past 11 years as an Infantry officer in the Army National Guard. He recently returned from a deployment to Iraq where he commanded a reinforced Infantry company conducting convoy security missions. Other military experiences include a deployment to Afghanistan and graduating from the U.S. Army’s Ranger School. Giancarlo holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech. |

MURRAY CHANOW
Murray Chanow currently serves as the Director of Government Affairs for Sprint Nextel Corporation, a leading telecommunications company currently serving over 54 million customers worldwide. Murray is responsible for lobbying the Federal government as well as coordinating Sprint’s national political efforts. This includes oversight of Sprints Political Action Committee (SprintPAC) including strategic planning, budgeting, fundraising, compliance and benchmarking. Murray also travels around the country speaking to both Sprint employees and outside groups to the benefits of being politically active.
Prior to joining Sprint Murray was the Director of Legislative and Political Affairs for the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU). In this position Murray served as the Associations lead lobbyist and coordinated several legislative campaigns including the successful efforts to reform the United States Bankruptcy Code. Murray earned his Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Public Policy in 1992 from Bethany College. He and his wife, Linda, live in Vienna, VA with their two children, Sam and Tobe. |

LEE DRAZNIN
Lee Draznin has been employed as the Director of Revenue and reimbursement at MediCorp Health System in Fredericksburg Virginia for the last three and one half years. In this position Lee is responsible for leading teams that oversee the negotiation and implementation of all managed care contracts for the health system, the financial relationship between the health system and Medicare, all retail charges including the pricing strategy, a 300 member physician hospital organization, and the analysis and management of appropriate payment. In is most immediate prior position Lee was part of the Inova Health System, where he was an integral part of the managed care contracting team. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Lee also serves as Chairman of the Health Systems Agency of Northern Virginia Board of Directors. The HAS NV Board is made up of 25 representatives from Northern Virginia. The Board is legislatively mandated to recommend to the State of Virginia whether requests to expand the health delivery system are needed. Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from George Mason University. Lastly and most importantly, Lee is the father to three beautiful girls, ages 15, 11 and 4. He currently lives in Burke with his wife of 20 years, children and their dog. |

STEVEN FRYER
Steven Fryer is a finance professional with 14 years of progressively senior experience including budgeting, new business pricing, data mining and analysis, and financial reporting and analysis for multi- billion dollar businesses. Presently, he is a Sr. Financial Analyst for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) at the Janelia Farm Research Campus (JFRC). HHMI is a nonprofit medical research organization that conducts research in areas including cell biology, computational biology, genetics, immunology, neuroscience, and structural biology. JFRC is HHMI's first stand alone research facility and was designed to emulate the unconstrained and collaborative environments at AT&T Bell Laboratories and Cambridge's Laboratory of Molecular Biology.
Researchers are on six-year contracts and fully internally funded, independent of traditional research grant funding. Steven's role is to help guide and advise the management and laboratory group leaders to determine their financial needs and requirements in order to help facilitate their research. His prior experience comes from eleven years at America Online in varying business and financial roles, almost two years at Sprint Nextel, and two years at a small services company (MHM). He was fortunate to have witnessed first-hand the mergers of AOL and Time Warner, as well as Nextel and Sprint. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Old Dominion University. Currently he lives in Ashburn with his son.

CAREY GRIFFIN
Carey C. Griffin, P.E., LEED ®AP
Carey Griffin is the Technical Lead Electrical Engineer for the National Geospatial Intelligence-Agency’s (NGA’s) New Campus East (NCE) Project. He is responsible for providing technical support, guidance and direction for all power requirements in coordination with the Joint Venture, internal to the Agency, US Army Corps of Engineers and Dominion Virginia Power to develop the Integrated Design Bid Build Package for NGA’s NCE. His experience includes electrical engineering design, managing drafters, project deadlines, reviewing submittals, mentoring junior staff, performing QA/QC on in house projects, working with clients, writing up reports as required and building partnerships with representatives internal, as well as external to the organization. He is self motivated for design and development, workflow and prioritization. Flexible by adhering to industry and group think, work well as a member of a team and can also perform independent decision-making. He is highly analytical and detailed-oriented with experience in using logic and process mapping skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches and weigh to the relative costs and benefits of a potential action. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. |

RON HAMM
Ron Hamm is currently a partner at The Ferguson Group, a top 20 federal lobbying firm in Washington, D.C., where he manages the higher education practice and relationships with municipal clients in four states. Ron has 13 years of experience providing Washington representation before Congress and the administration and advises clients on higher education issues, defense, housing, economic and community development issues, Broadband, and information technology issues. Ron has worked with TFG’s clients to secure more than $125 million in federal appropriations and several key authorizations to support university research, information technology, waterfront development, facilities construction, public safety, and transportation. Ron’s major accomplishments include drafting legislation that was approved by Congress and signed into law to establish the first National Heritage Area west of the Mississippi River and only one of 27 Heritage Areas in the United States. Ron was also successful in securing federal funding for the development of a national museum that commemorates a significant era in soul music in the United States. Ron received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. |

TIM HOKE
Tim Hoke is a Captain in the Virginia Army National Guard on active duty supporting the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) with the historic implementation of the Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System (DIMHRS), the largest single PeopleSoft integration and implementation ever attempted (apx. 3.2 million users at full implementation). Tim’s focus is on directing many of the change management and training development efforts required to prepare the DFAS workforce for this transition to the new system. Prior to coming to DFAS, Tim was the Internal Control Program Manager for the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), managing the financial/management control compliance reporting system for the Agency. DeCA is a government run, multinational grocery chain with over 260 stores in 13 countries, with annual revenue in excess of $5.3 billion. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts in the Russian Language from Southern Illinois University. |

CHRIS LAMBETH
Chris Lambeth is an Associate for Booz Allen Hamilton. He is currently serving as an Information Assurance expert for the Treasury Network PMO office. His duties include leading and facilitating security working group meetings with multiple vendors and clients. He provides status reports and updates to the PMO office and higher level BAH personnel. His duties include reviewing and providing feedback on all C&A related documents. Mr. Lambeth has 7 years experience including 3 years performing complex financial reports, schedules and forecasts. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Virginia Tech. |

Kristyn has built her e-commerce career on a strong foundation of retail merchandising. Her extensive catalog and content management background enables her to maximize the potential of e-commerce platforms to meet merchandising, marketing and overall business needs. Kristyn has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Auburn University. |

AARON LEWIS
Aaron Lewis utilizes his creative leadership, management and hands-on contracting skills by being the International Team Chief at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Reston, Virginia. He has worked for the Federal Government for over 22 years. Aaron is a native of Washington, DC. He received his Bachelors Degree in Urban Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park and his Master of Public Administration Degree from Bowie State University. |

BRENDAN LEWIS
Brendan Lewis is a managing partner at Dynamic Capital. Dynamic Capital is a real estate investment firm with a focus on residential and commercial real estate in Arlington, VA. He started his professional career as an account executive at John Hancock Financial and later at Yellowbrix. He was a director of sales at the American International relocation. He also worked at Advanced Technology Systems as a director of the Eastern region for Voyager. He is a member of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors since July 2007. He has a diversified background of 10 years as a project manager, program analyst, financial analyst, private client advisory and Naval Intelligence. As a government consultant, he has had worked as a project manager, program analyst to streamline physical capital, retrain human capital and devised a blueprint of a lean government workforce with Ace Information Solutions, Inc., assigned to the Department of Homeland Security. In the private sector, he was a Financial Analyst/Private Client Advisor at Merrill Lynch, to analyze and research private client/business investments within Latin America, Caribbean, Europe and Middle East. Eugenio had served in the US Navy for 5 years as a Naval Intelligence Analyst and served overseas tour duty in Bahrain, Dubai, Singapore, Oman, Jebe Ali, Hong Kong on-board the USS Merrill DD-976 (Spruance Class Destroyer). Gity Porjosh is a Research Administrator at Inova Health System, the largest health system in Northern Virginia consisting of five hospitals; emergency and urgent care centers and a variety of other health services. Gity directs and oversees the Inova Research Center, responsible for the legal, financial, and regulatory compliance of the research program for the entire health system. Prior to Inova Health System, Gity worked as a project manager for an NIH clinical research contracting organization for over 8 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from George Mason University and a Master of Public Health from the George Washington University. |

Bill Me Later is a technology company that offers a smart, secure and convenient solution for shoppers and an attractive alternative payment solution for merchants. Chintan has extensive experience in developing revenue and risk models specifically for financial services and credit lending businesses. His current responsibilities include developing analytical solutions to manage consumer portfolio’s risk exposure to sustain revenue growth and improve profitability. Before joining Bill Me Later, Chintan worked as a Data Analysis Advisor in the Risk Management-Decision Science team for Dell Financial Services in Austin, TX. Chintan holds a Bachelor of Engineering from The University of Mumbai in India, and has a Masters in Industrial Engineering and a Masters in Civil Engineering, both from Virginia Tech. |

CHRISTOPHER B. SMITH
Christopher Smith is an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, a global strategy and technology consulting firm, headquartered in McLean, VA. He provides financial leadership as a Program Business Services Manager for the firm’s IT Defense market. He supports all aspects of contract financial management and is currently responsible for strategic planning, monthly forecasting, and financial analysis and reporting. As a financial leader, Chris and his team are tasked with providing all the required programmatic support but most important, improving and re-engineering business processes, preparing cost analysis, formulating, executing and tracking multimillion dollar annual budgets. Prior to working at Booz Allen, Chris previously worked for the Walt Disney Company, Andersen Consulting, Accenture, Unisys, and LMI. Some of his past consulting clients include: GE Capital, NASDAQ, Wachovia, Dept. of Education, Navy, Verizon, Air Force, HUD , House of Representatives, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He has served as an instrumental leader in numerous key positions requiring strong leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills. He has gained and displayed valuable experience designing, planning, developing and implementing state–of–the–art information technology systems. He also has served in leading support roles in the design and conduct of management consulting, human capital consulting, and organizational development programs. Outside of work, Chris is very active in volunteer service activities. He has served as head coach for softball teams and also enjoys playing golf, football, and basketball. Richard Teel is a Project Manager and Development Team Lead at Booz Allen Hamilton. During Richard's career at Booz Allen, he has supported International, Commercial, and Government Clients in the areas of network integration and web application development and support. Prior to coming to Booz Allen, Richard worked at EER Systems as a Software Test Engineer, served in both in the Army and Army Reserves and worked in various manufacturing and service jobs. In addition to his work a Booz Allen, Richard is working with Longfellow Middle School to start a FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Team to involve students in Math, Science, and Technology. Laurie mentors a team of analysts and managers who support the business growth objectives, establishes cost and pricing strategies, sets indirect cost rates and monitors performance, forecasts and manages cash flows, and leads operational initiatives leading to the streamlining of her finance and business operations. Her previous professional post included managing the finance staff for a General Dynamics’ subsidiary generating $650 million per year. Laurie completed her undergraduate studies at George Mason University, receiving a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Management and has also completed numerous post-graduate courses in project and financial management. Laurie lives in Fairfax, VA with her husband and dog. |
