RENE (CHICO) MOLINE
I was born and in raised in the Washington DC area. Upon graduating from the University of Richmond in 1985 with a degree in Economics, I went to work selling mutual funds. I later took a job with Investment Diversified Services (American Express) selling full service financial planning to include any and every available financial vehicle. I realized selling was not what I wanted to do with my career. I tended bar for 10 or so years and woke up one day, realized I wasn’t 20 years old anymore, and began thinking it was time to go back to a day job. I then went to work for an IT service company pulling cable and building servers. At this point in my career I pursued every engineering certification I could get and found myself running network engineering teams for a Government contractor based out of Alaska. I ultimately reached Chief Engineer and had management responsibility for a handful of employees. In late 2000 I went to work for a company on the Navy Marine Corp Intranet Contract. This was the largest non- weapons contract ever awarded at that time. I was hired as an engineer and quickly progressed to Chief Design Engineer with management responsibility of the entire Network Design Engineering Department. My next and career defining, step was taking the job of USMC Program Manager and managing deployment of the entire United States Marine Corp. throughout the world onto the network. After a successful deployment I was then promoted to Senior Program Director overseeing the entire program which is what I continue to do today. |
